Generative : Design : by Nature – Procedural Landscapes

Lehrveranstaltung an der KISD über Generative Gestaltung im Wintersemester 2016/17. Thema des Kurses: Prozedurale Landschaften.
Im Anschluss an eine Einführung in Processing erarbeiteten die Studierenden kleine Gruppenprojekte in denen durch Algorithmen endlose, digitale Landschaften entstanden. Diese basierten auf einem Artefakt aus der analogen, dinglichen Welt und konnten in Echtzeit beeinflusst werden.

English Version:

Course at the KISD Köln International School of Design about generative design. The topic: Procedural landscapes.
After an introduction to Processing, the students worked on small projects with the aim to create endless, digtial landscapes that are generated based on algorithms. The landscapes where attached to and based on artefacts from the real physical world and could be manipulated in real time.
