Short term project on the topic of virtual space and perception at KISD – Köln International School of Design.
Question: How do we perceive virtual space and how seriously do we take it?
Approach: Following a generative design approach we created real-time virtual space using Unity3D. Objects and space are controlled through code and manipulated by the actions of a user. Augmented and virtual reality technologies where used.
Assignment: Create a virtual or mixed reality exposition of an artwork of your choice.
Experiment with different approaches to facilitate a profound and serious experience with the artwork that exceeds the mere placement of a model in virtual space.
